Why O Why???

In your last blog, you had decided to take your friends on board for your next literary adventure?

You thought it will be an enlightening escort? 🀨

You have just learned the lesson β€˜ to put an axe on your foot’. πŸ€’

For you have now completely lost the sense of time and place. 🀀

Your creativity has been grounded into a fine β€˜chutney’ while your genius has been fermented into a fine pickle. This your friends will enjoy dining with papadum of your reflections.πŸ˜‹

Most of your precious reflective time will be spent on discussing the redness of watermelon πŸ‰ and the paleness of the honey 🍯

You will be reminded fifty times a day, of how valuable your friends are, how they brought depth and insight into your writing. How you should voice the rights of a friend, that you seriously start thinking to come up with an anthem for friendship and to salute all your friends in reverence.

This my dears is when you are overwhelmingly stuck! πŸ‘»

When it’s a royal wedding, they look at you to write about it, yet when the dessert is too heavy, they look at you again, to write on β€˜a lot of cream’.

Now, how much you want to discard the idea of being a pirate, who searches all around not for literary treasure but for lemons πŸ‹ fish sauce and yoghurt for friends on board.

You now want to be an eagle πŸ¦… that is not a social bird who likes solitude and self-discovery.

It is said that when you want to fly away from your crazy friends, nature gives you wings, vision and ability to fly high. You tell yourself bravely that when the life of the literary world is in danger, the dirty dishes can wait a bit longer. πŸ’ͺ

Farewell to all my dear friends, who had been such a roller coaster inspiration. From here onward,

β€˜ I live on the rocks of great mountains’

Next blog from there….till then

  1. Very well executed
Honestly speaking Uzma, when I made my blog about years ago I never informed any of my friends.
Instead I focused on getting genuine engagement from other bloggers through community pool or by dropping them comments. I believe in our social circles, there are rarely a few people who have genuine reading and writing habits. So, they would not be able to give you the feedback you are expecting as they are not into it. And even if they do, it wont’t be consistent as you would have to notify them with every new blog post. I would never prefer that.
I would prefer quality over quantity, i.e., two genuine followers rather than twenty who won’t check up until I tell them to.
But then again, all is up to you. I found your link through community pool and you seem to be at the beginning of this journey. Keep moving forward.

    Regards,
    Mariyaah

    1. Thankyou its a very honest opinion, I appreciate. It was the motivation and support of my family and friends all along. And the differences amongst us gave me more insight into psychology and behaviour. I included them as I am taking baby steps too, they can relate better now.. perhaps in more serious topics I will take a more mature road.

    2. Tanks Mariah, I was driving and skimmed through ur message earlier and gave a hasty reply too, thanks for ur insight, it’s been less than a month that I have started blogging and still have not much clue of how it all works.. slowly and gradually I will be there. I was also wandering how to get hold of a sincere reader.. you are so right!!

      1. You are doing pretty good for a person who is that new into blogging.
From where do you belong Uzma? I guess somewhere from Asia as your name is Asian.
If you are that new than First friday is your thing. Interact on first friday threads posted in Daily Post on every Friday. Community pool is good too but usually the engagement rate for those who join late is pretty low.
Also it is good to scroll over different tags, explore different blogs and drop them comments. They’ll check your blog eventually.

      2. Thanks Mariya for the advice. You are right in guessing, I also anticipated after reading translation of department of pulmonology from your blog. It has been hardly three weeks and I am glad I found someone for support and inspiration. Thank you πŸ‘
