A secret artist

I am a goldsmith by profession. I saw, forge, cast, file and polish precious metals. For many years I have worked relentlessly to make my name, my brand and my mark in the supersaturated gold industry.

I am known for creative imagination and a great sense of design. People trust my knowledge of precious stones, metals and diamonds. They say I have the eye, the sight and the magic of a creative genius.

I strive hard to cater for all their likes from intricate Arab designs to Meenakari, Kundan, antique faded jewellery or the modern diamond heaven.

Everyone believes I am a lucky man surrounded by gold and silver, yet I feel confined in those exclusively secured four confined walls.

I feel I have the capacity and the wisdom to liberate, set free from my superficial boundaries, to soar high, to resonate, to heal my soul.

As they say, it is moments within moments that create the final picture. My lucky moments are a time I spend with something I feel so similar with; so aloof yet so complete.

We both are hollow from within, we share our inner secrets, sing songs of detachment from the outside world. We feel the presence of a beautifully scenic nature all around us; as an awed spectator.

Yes, me and my flute, we both refuse to be captives of gold and silver from the outside.

I blow the air, the very essence of life from my lips and the seemingly dead wind instrument, receives the breath I strike from my lips through a narrow edge.

It absorbs my energy, receives orders from my fingers on its broken parts to burst out in melodies.

I feel the joy so simple yet so fulfilling that makes me bigger than life, heals my soul and makes my heart dance on the rhythm.

Nature, however, refuses to be a quiet, awed spectator, to exhibit its life it sends an echo that I receive like a boomerang.

After a great concert in the midst of nature, I get up with a feeling of fulfilment… for giving a voice to my soul through the failing broken pieces of my heart to create one big masterpiece.

After all, not everything is for exhibition, is for sale, somethings are so precious that they are meant to be a secret.
